Ductless & Mini-Split Systems

Ductless and mini-split systems behave differently than ducted equipment: they are zone-based, sensitive to indoor unit cleanliness, and heavily dependent on their controls. Boar Built treats mini-split work as HVAC and mechanical work, not general handyman work.

What This Service Covers

  • Mini-split diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Indoor head and accessible component cleaning within service scope
  • Zone-by-zone performance evaluation
  • Remote, thermostat and control-related issues
  • Condensate and drainage review on wall-mounted heads
  • Replacement or new installation only when within Boar Built's current scope and applicable licensing, qualification and permitting requirements

Scope Matters

Installation, replacement, and other regulated mechanical work are offered only when they fall within Boar Built's current scope and applicable licensing, qualification, and permitting requirements.

What to Expect

  • Each zone is evaluated separately, since one head can fail while others run normally.
  • Findings and measurements are documented and explained.
  • Any work that falls outside Boar Built's current scope is identified before scheduling.

When to Request This Service

  • One zone is not cooling or heating while others are.
  • An indoor head is dripping, dirty or producing odors.
  • A remote or controller is not responding as expected.
  • You are evaluating a ductless system for a room or addition.
